Tracking the Create Fleet
The reality of running a business today means trying to make efficiencies in every area of our operations. To improve sustainability and uphold our Duty of Care to employees we have been using Tracker systems in our fleet vehicles for several years. We’ve recently received lots of coverage as a case study to show how Create’s use of telematic systems has improved the efficiency of our business.
Site Management H&S qualification for Create

As one of the UK’s major construction companies, Cowlin Construction are dedicated to ensuring their workforce and subcontractors are fully Health and Safety compliant. As Create’s installation team manager, Andrew Fogg was offered a place on Cowlin’s CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) run by the company at their Bristol offices.
The 5 day course course aims to help site managers and supervisors manage health and safety on site in accordance with current legal provisions and develop an understanding of responsibilities and accountability for site health, safety and welfare, and recognise a safe site is efficient, economical and productive.
We are pleased Cowlin considered Create to be a valued subcontractor and appreciate their dedication in ensuring their supply chain follows good Health and Safety practice.
Signmaking NVQs for Create team
Create’s commitment to staff training was put into practice again this week when the first session of our Sign Making NVQ course took place at our offices in Bristol. We recognize the importance of our staff being properly qualified so invited Walsall College to help Create employees attain the National Vocational Qualification in Sign Making. The QCF signmaking qualification provides recognition of the skills and knowledge of individuals who work in a signmaking environment and covers health and safety, competence and effective working relationships. The process lasts a year and we look forward to handing out the certificates in 2013.
Signs are good for 2012
With 2011 now a distant memory, 2012 got off to a fantatic start with possibly our busiest ever January. We are delighted to have added more construction companies to our client list and welcome BAM, Barwood Developments, Buckingham Group, Dawnus and Midas Construction as clients. We will do our utmost to provide the best possible sign service to all new and existing clients in 2012.
In 2011 Create also became an approved contractor to commercial real estate brokers and consultants Cushman and Wakefield. Assessed by Human Focus for Health and Safety complicance we have passed their Competent Contractor scheme so now have another logo to add to our letterhead!
Constructionline accreditation for Create Signs
We’re delighted to have just received accreditation from Constructionline so we now hold a trio of health and safety awards, along with CHAS and Safecontractor accreditation. This means we are now pre-qualified to tender for public and private sector contracts.
